Disinfection is a complex of measures primarily aimed at eliminating pathogens of infectious diseases and toxins on objects in the environment where people live and work, capable of harboring pathogens. The main goal of disinfection is to prevent the entry of infection agents onto the skin and mucous membranes. When disinfection measures are carried out correctly, the number of pathogens in the premises decreases to an acceptable level, which, combined with other measures, helps prevent infection. - Preventive - carried out on a regular basis, regardless of the epidemiological situation.
- Current - systematic measures conducted according to a schedule, several times a day.
- Final - disinfection of premises carried out after isolation or hospitalization, aimed at cleansing the epidemic focus from pathogens released by patients.
